Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to bring?

Sunscreen/sunglasses Appropriate clothing for our excursions: no tank tops, no plunging necklines, long clothes - trekking clothes or for women: leggings and long blouses/shirts, etc. Yoga clothes (when we are alone in the camps, normal yoga clothes are ok, but please keep in mind that the bedouins usually don't see women's skin; the same goes for men) Swimwear, bathing shoes (Dead Sea) flip flops (showers) White outfit for our closing ritual Daypack Water/drinking bottle Good shoes (trainers are suitable, but no open-toed trekking sandals or similar) Torch, charger (power bank) Disinfectant and tissues, mouth and nose masks (if needed) Warm clothes for the evening (onion look) in the colder months Private travel insurance/foreign health insurance (mandatory)

What's the weather like?

In Summer temperatures are high and the sun is almost always shining. Expect temperatures to be extremely high (around 40 degrees Celsius) between June and August. Between September and October, the Red Sea hits temperatures of 26 degrees Celsius which entices an abundance of tropical marine life including turtles. Autumn is also a great time for diving particularly around the city of Aqaba. This time of year is best for exploring the Jordan Valley, hiking along the Jordan Trail or for exploring sites like Petra and Wadi Rum, for example with this Petra and Wadi Rum Tour. In winter the weather in Jordan drops to below 10 degrees Celsius. This time of year also receives the most rainfall and a limited amount of daylight. January is the coldest month but weather in Jordan rarely dips below 5 degrees.
