About The Retreat
Has the winter dragged on for you and you need something to look forward to before your summer begins? If so, then look no further as this retreat will be exactly what you need. La Radieuse provides the perfect location for a wellness retreat. The house has 9 en-suite bedrooms, extremely spacious and relaxed living areas and a large garden with an infinity pool and whirlpool spa leading to views of the ocean. Each morning will begin with a light breakfast of tea and fruit, followed by energetic yoga practice (approx. 1.5hours). A delicious brunch including home made granola, eggs, fresh juices will follow the morning practice. The menus will focus on healthy eating and will be mostly gluten free. Dairy alternatives will be available but please advise time of booking, if you have any specific dietary requirements. The afternoon is free to relax, explore the dramatic grounds and surrounding countryside or visit Bormes Le Mimosa. Body treatments offered at an additional price. All treatments must be booked in advance, so please let us know if you would like to hear more. An evening yoga class that will focus on more relaxing and meditative practices including Yoga Nidra and Kundalini. Yoga mats, blocks and straps will be provided but please feel free to bring your own mat should you wish or any other props you like to use. The group will then relax with a delicious dinner (wine will be available if required!). Teaching on this retreat are Phillipa Devas and Violet Stopford. Philippa is a 500 hr Yoga teacher and has been teaching in West London for over 10 years. She completed her Hatha teacher training in 2012 and level 1 Kundalini teacher training in 2019. Philippa is also works as a psychotherapist. Violet is also a 500 hour trained teacher in Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin yoga. Violet specialises in warming Vinyasa flows and deep Yin classes. Her classes are heavily focused on breath work, connecting deep into the body and using the breath to allow ourselves to deepen. Violet has hosted a number of retreats previously and will be joining this retreat to teach yoga as well as guided meditations and cooking all the delicious food! Can I come if I haven't ever done yoga?
The answer is yes, we welcome everyone on our retreats and there will be options for all.
Am I covered with your insurance if I come?
No is the answer, sadly our insurance covers us. Therefore please ensure you have travel insurance before your trip.
Can I come on my own?
Yes, on your own, with family, friends whoever you wish.
I had never been on a yoga retreat before, but I went on one of Violet's Wiltshire retreats. I come away feeling amazing, rejuvenated and ready to handle the busy Christmas period. Violet is very welcoming in both her yoga classes and hosting. She cooked delicious food, her classes were warming and deep but having not done lots of yoga I walked away wanting to continue doing lots more. I highly recommend one other retreats, you won't regret it!
I have been taught by Philippa for a while now, with her 10 years of knowledge and recently being trained as a therapist, I am constantly learning so much off her. Having done Yoga for years and never really been that interested in Kundalini, since meeting her she has showed me a whole new side of yoga. I couldn't recommend her classes enough.
