About The Retreat
Most people flock to Cornwall in the summer, heading for full lazy days on the beach, but have you ever thought of an autumnal escape? There is no better place to feel cosey and get your hygge on than Cornwall in autumn/winter. Getting in the sea at this time of year is exhilarating and the beaches are just as beautiful, if not more so, with the lack of crowds. We can't think of anything better than staying in a spa hotel just a stones throw from the beach. All the joy of a summer retreat with the added bonus of being able to warm up in the sensory spa on your return. The ultimate in relaxation. SURF: You'll have two days to learn/improve your surfing, with local, experienced instructors. They'll focus on you feeling confident in the water, whilst working towards progress and most importantly having a laugh. This is a pressure free zone to try something new or build on the skills you already have. All kit is included too, so don't worry about being cold, as they'll have appropriate wetsuits for the time of year! YOGA: Whilst our retreats are all about adventure, relaxation is key for us too. That is why you will be starting and ending your days with yoga. Perfect for stretching out muscles after a day on the water to make sure you sleep deeply and wake feeling energised and ready to go again. The hotel has the perfect space for relaxing and calm yoga sessions, so you can just roll out of bed and onto the mat to start off your day in the best way. SWIM: A wild swim if you like, but really just a swim as it should be, in the sea, with friends in beautiful places. We'll take you on a little adventure along the stunning trails that make up the Cornish coastal paths for an afternoon of fun in the sea. Spend 3 nights in a Spa Hotel on the north Cornish coast. Perched on the cliff tops, the hotel looks out directly over the beach below. Treat yourself to a private room with sea view or bring a friend and enjoy a comfortable twin. After you've headed down to the beach for a surf session you can potter back to relax in the beautiful spa, complete with both indoor and outdoor pools, steam room and sensory garden outside looking right over the beach The hotel is home to two restaurants that believe in cooking sustainably and using local ingredients and you'll also get the chance to have two lunches at local restaurants to experience the beautiful area of Mawgan Porth.

Frequently Asked Questions
I'm a beginner surfer, is that ok?
Yes definitely! Many of our guests have never tried surfing before and our instructors will tailor the sessions to suit your ability and make sure you feel confident in the water. If you're a beginner surfer you will start in the shallows, only moving further out when you're ready and happy to do so.
I have never done yoga does that matter?
Definitely not. Our yoga teachers are experts at modifying moves for different levels, and in fact, being more experienced at yoga doesn't always mean more flexibility. Yoga is very much about tapping into what feels right for your body. If you haven't ever done yoga before and would like a little bit of confidence before you arrive, we can send you some videos so you have a good idea of how each session will run. Bare in mind that these sessions are designed to relax at the end of the day; Yin yoga, gentle and perfect for stretching out those muscles after a day in the surf.
Do you cater for different dietary requirements?
Absolutely. We've had all sorts of dietary requirements over the years and are used to catering for them all.

I had an amazing weekend in Cornwall. The yoga and surf sessions were just what I was looking for to escape from the hectic pace of life. It was great to meet like-minded women who were up for trying new things and I really came back home feeling refreshed. Thank you Harry and Nessy for a great weekend - I can't wait to do it all again!

WOW what a weekend! It was everything I needed and more. The women were so warm and funny it didn't take long to feel as if I'd known them for ages. A perfect amount of yoga, surfing and swimming led by the beautiful human being Amy. To top it all off the food was incredible, so tasty with a lot of love put in to it. I'll definitely be back

I was nervous about attending being a peri menopausal women who hadn’t tried surfing before. Everyone was really friendly, the food was exceptional. It was a perfect balance of being active and rest and relaxation. I loved every bit of the retreat.
