Frequently Asked Questions

What dietary requirements do you cater for?

In short: All! Our meals are always plant-based and are using naturally gluten-free ingredients. If you have any other kind of allergies, all you need to do is to let us know upon booking and our retreat chef will be happy to cater for You too!

I've only just started practicing yoga / haven't practiced for a while... Can I still come?

Absolutely! This retreat is ideal for complete beginners and general yoga goers. It's probably not your retreat if you are an advanced yogi (i.e. practicing ashtanga five or six times a week) although You would also experience the mental and physical benefits of slowing down. Everyone is truly Welcome. If you're not sure, get in touch with your questions first - happy to help :)

Will I know how to headstand by the end of the retreat?

I'm afraid that's not something we can promise! So, to answer your question: No, we do not teach headstand during our yoga retreats. But! We will play and have fun with different poses in a safe environment; always keeping your safety in mind. And, we’ll show you the way leading you to a certain posture in a safe path, looking at bringing stability, muscular strength and flexibility in the right percentages. How does that sound? :)

Do you serve alcohol / can I bring a bottle of wine?

We also enjoy a glass of wine, a fancy G&T in a pretty glass and some other lovely drinks, every now and then. The yoga retreat, however, is strictly alcohol free. This is because of the effects of our yoga retreat activities have on both the body and the mind, alcohol could possibly prevent participants to be able to take full advantage of the yoga we do; whether from mindfulness or asana/physical perspectives. When you come to our retreat, we want you to make the most out of these special few days, and leave in a completely relaxed state and refreshed body and mind.

What can I do during free time?

Take a boat ride on the pond, head to the sauna to revitalise, book into a massage (NB extra cost), go for one of our mapped walks, walk (or drive) to Llanidloes and have a look at this sweet market town - or simply hide away with a book in the living room without anyone noticing you there

Adri puts her heart and soul into organising an incredibly relaxing retreat, from the beautiful and spacious countryside venue with its lovely bedrooms to the yummy home-made food and desserts... All Adri's careful planning and caring ways meant that I had nothing else to do apart from being in the moment and enjoying the varied yoga and meditation practices (yoga nidra was my favourite!)

Having joined Adri's yoga retreat for a weekend in Wales I can truly say I was not disappointed. The various yoga sessions were tailored to the time of day, energising in the mornings & restorative in the evening. Informative teachings on the use of props to extend your practice and workshops gave us the opportunity to ask all the questions you often don’t have time to ask in a regular yoga class.

This was my first yoga retreat but I’ll tell you all that it was the best experience I ever gifted myself. Adri was incredible and everything from her knowledge and skill in yoga, her course, the location and the food over exceeded every expectation I had of the weekend. I have been recommending Adri to all my friends and clients as a great way to escape the stresses of life.

Just attended my second Yoga retreat with Adri, and have to say they are amazing. The yoga Is a good mix of relaxation, new challenges and also workshops that help you really understand. My takeaway is I need more Yoga in my life - it fits wonderfully with my new work-life balance, and I will be looking out for the next retreat from Adri!
