About The Retreat

Our yoga retreats in the Cotswolds are set in the stunning Cotswold Park Barns, in Gloucestershire. This is a venue that nestles perfectly into the Cotswolds countryside, and yet offers a modern, exquisite accommodation and retreat centre. We’ve got everything we need here! A large area with underfloor heating for our yoga and mindfulness practices. A beautiful, hand-crafted kitchen fully equipped for our yoga retreat chefs. Cosy, extremely comfortable en-suite bedrooms that let you indulge in a blissful night’s sleep. The high standards shine through the luxurious final touches. Simply magical. The peaceful, remote setting of the barns offers great walks in the countryside - don’t forget your hiking boots for a scenic afternoon walk. There are plenty of hiding spaces to cosy in with a book, or you can mingle with like-minded people chatting about the joint experiences of our yoga weekend.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I know how to headstand by the end of the retreat??

Based on the overpowering amount of images available on social media, it is commonly assumed or expected that the way to yoga is via fancy postures. It’s actually rather unsafe to attempt certain asanas (poses) without building up your foundations first. Challenges like “learn how to handstand in 60 days” do not take into account how long you’ve been practicing, how regularly, whether you have a history of being a dancer, how much strength you have in your arms vs your legs vs your core, and so on. So, to answer your question: No, we do not teach headstand during Bobble Yoga Retreats. But! Whilst we will not bring you headstands, handstands or scorpions, we will play and have fun with more advanced poses in a safe environment; always keeping your safety in mind. And, we’ll show you the way leading you to a certain posture in a safe path, looking at bringing stability, muscular strength and flexibility in the right percentages. How does that sound? :)

Do you cater for allergies?

This should not be a problem at all. We work with experienced retreat chefs who make sure that all allergies are catered for, without a fuss. We're offering a fully plant-based experience prepared by using naturally gluten free ingredients and without any refined sugar to start with. You just need to let us know at least one week in advance, so that we can update the menu accordingly!

Is this retreat suitable for beginners?

As we like to say: Wobble with Bobble! Yes, we welcome yogis with all experience levels with our primary target being beginners. We often have people who have just started their yoga journey, people who have never been to yoga retreats. The sessions provide options for complete beginners and general yoga goers alike, so you won't feel 'left behind'. We also have returners, who have been to our retreats and are lovely warm people. We are excited to meet You too.

Can I bring alcohol to the retreat?

We also enjoy a glass of wine, a fancy G&T in a pretty glass and some other lovely drinks, every now and then. The Bobble yoga retreats, however, are strictly alcohol free. This is because of the effects of our yoga retreat activities have on both the body and the mind, alcohol could possibly prevent participants to be able to take full advantage of the yoga we will do; whether from mindfulness or asana/physical perspectives. When you come to our retreat, we want you to make the most out of these special few days, and leave in a completely relaxed state and refreshed body and mind.
