About The Retreat

Disconnect from the day to day this June. Surrounded by beautiful rolling fells in the Yorkshire Dales. We will bring you a week that will help you slow down, de-stress, and top up your batteries. What to expect: A stunning day hike, daily morning flow, evening yin and yoga nidra. Incredible food, breathwork and meditation. Waterfall wild swimming. Optional runs on the beautiful Howgill Fells with Elise Downing; the youngest person and first woman to run 5,000 miles around the entire coast of the UK self-supported. Book club, vision board workshop loveliest of humans and as always an awe-spiring location to huddle up. Ultimately, an experience you will remember always and refer to fondly.

Itinerary

1Day 1

3:30PM - 5:00PM

Arrival & welcome, drink and cake. Guests meet everyone and settle in.

5:00PM - 5:30PM

Welcome Gathering

5:45PM - 6:45PM

Yin & Yoga Nidra. A gentle class after a long day of travel.

7:00PM - 8:00PM

Vegetarian supper lovingly prepared by our in-house chef.

2Day 2

7:30AM - 8:30AM

Yoga - morning flow overlooking the Howgill Fells with meditation and journaling.

8:30AM - 9:30AM

Beautiful buffet breakfast.

10:00AM - 3:30PM

Howgill Fells Hike - I will be leading a fell hike up to the The Calf via a stunning waterfall, Cautley Spout. We will take our sarnies with us and spend a good 4-5 hours in the great outdoors. Our hike will focus more on the journey, enjoying the stunning landscape around us, absorbing the sights and sounds of the Yorkshire Dales rather than a race to the end destination.

4:00PM - 6:00PM

Time to rest, explore around Brownber Hall, curl up by the fire with a book or take a nap.

6:00PM - 7:30PM

Vegetarian supper together.

8:00PM - 9:00PM

Evening Yoga & Meditation in our PJs before drifting off for a restful nights sleep.

3Day 3

7:30AM - 8:30AM

Yoga - morning flow overlooking the Howgill Fells with meditation and journaling.

8:30AM - 9:30AM

Beautiful buffet breakfast.

10:00AM - 11:30AM

Waterfall Wild Swim - Mandy will be taking the bravest among us for an optional cold water dip. Mandy is a huge advocate of wild swimming and maintains that it's essential for her mental wellbeing. Mandy will share her tips and techniques for entering the water as well as the benefits of cold water swimming for releasing happy hormones, building mental resilience and existing in the present.

1:00PM - 2:30PM

Fireside Book Club - I am super excited to be partnering with Elise Downing for this retreat. Elise is the youngest person and first woman to run 5,000 miles around the entire coast of the UK self-supported in 10 months. Elise will be joining us for book club with her book "Coasting". With a cuppa in hand, we will spend some time huddled together chatting about the book, and enjoying an exclusive Q&A session. We cannot wait!

3:30PM - 4:30PM

Run - Elise will be planning two routes through the beautiful Howgill Fells for anyone who would like to pause and join her for a run throughout the week.

6:00PM - 7:30PM

Vegetarian supper together.

8:00PM - 9:00PM

Evening Yoga & Meditation in our PJs before drifting off for a restful nights sleep.

4Day 4

7:30AM - 8:30AM

Yoga - morning flow overlooking the Howgill Fells with meditation and journaling.

8:30AM - 9:30AM

Beautiful buffet breakfast.

12:00PM - 1:00PM

Gorgeous lunch served in the grounds.

1:30PM - 3:30PM

Vision Board Workshop - we will end the week with vision boarding as a way to rebalance our priorities and boundaries post retreat. Together we will take time to reflect on our week of pausing, and set some intentions to help us continue to pause ongoing.

6:30PM - 8:30PM

Final banquet supper all together.

7:30AM - 8:30AM

Breakfast & big hugs and goodbyes.
