Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to have done Pilates before?

Our teachers are able to accommodate all levels - challenging those who have been doing Pilates for years and guiding and introducing beginners to the reformer, mat and other equipment.

Can I come alone?

Yes of course, many of our guests book in and come alone. Once you are at the retreat you can be as alone or as involved as you want. You can book a room to yourself or you can pay to share a room and we will match you up with another guest.

How much free time do I get?

All activities are optional - you can do as little or as much as you want. Each day the afternoons are generally free to do as you wish with maybe one activity available alongside holistic treatments.

What do I wear?

Our retreats are very relaxed. Guests are generally in lycra / activewear in the mornings, pool wear and kaftans in the afternoon. For dinner guests do shower and change but it's very low key and low healed and even barefoot. We will have a Varley pop up shop at the retreat selling activewear and elevated day wear - we always bring the latest collection. So if you have forgotten anything you can get something at the retreat.

Can I leave the retreat venue?

Yes you can leave at any time. There are stunning small fishing villages about 12-15 minutes away by taxi/car.
