The Menopause can feel like a daunting time  where everything that was certain becomes uncertain. With the hormonal changes taking place emotionally it is a difficult time for so many, lack of sleep and bodily changes exacerbate the sense of uncontrolled change taking place. There is so much information online with conflicting advice, not knowing where to turn or who to listen to is exhausting. We bring the experts to you, in a safe and honest environment, tackling embarrassing symptoms and bringing a sense of sisterhood and togetherness. You are not alone on this journey, we are all on the same page, self immersion and workshops designed to put you back in control, taking back your feminine power. From the moment you agree to being a part of the New Beginnings experience, you are putting yourself, your health and your menopause journey onto the right track.

Refreshments / break Introductory talk
 (HRT or not to HRT that is the question and reducing the risk of breast cancer

A healthy two course buffet lunch in the restaurant or weather permitting outside on the terrace

2:00PM - 3:30PM

Workshop: Lifestyle and eating during and after the menopause, bone health, changing body shape, exercise and diet. Followed by refreshments / break

3:30PM - 6:00PM

Time to relax, rest, use the gym, go for a swim, sauna, steam room or enjoy the beautiful surroundings Spa treatments available upon request

6:30PM - 8:00PM

Three course set menu in private dining room

9:00PM - 10:00PM

Immersive Soundbath Experience: Improve energy, health and overall well-being

2Day 2

7:30AM - 8:30AM

Early morning gym, swim or yoga session (optional)

Full English breakfast in the Clock Tower restaurant

Yoga / pilates fusion class with meditation

Two course healthy buffet lunch in The Clock Tower or on the Terrace (weather permitting).

Workshop: Alternative options to HRT
 , Interactive myth busting games. Followed by refreshments / break

Workshop with Intimacy Coach Ruth Ramsay Sexual arousal and pleasure during menopause and beyond Post retreat support and advice. Well-being gift bag to take home with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

If I can’t attend will I get a full refund?

We take a non-refundable £150 deposit. If for whatever reason, you cannot attend – you can defer your space to a future retreat based on availability. 

Are all meals included?

Throughout the retreat light refreshments will be provided. Lunch and dinner is included on day one and breakfast and lunch is included on day two.

What do I wear?

Wear something comfortable that you can move in for yoga. All other workshops are very casual. There is a gym and a swimming pool – so if you wish to use these facilities, please bring appropriate clothing. Please feel free to bring another outfit for dinner but anything goes.

What time does it start and end?

Please arrive between 9.15am – 9.30am am. Day one finishes at 5.30pm with a Soundbath Experience after dinner at approximately 8.00pm. Day two finishes at 6.00pm 

Can I share with a friend?

Providing there are twin rooms available, or you are happy to share a double, there will be a reduction off the retreat price of £40 per person.

Can I do my own thing?

Although the whole two days have activities provided you are not obliged to take part in all activities and you can dip in and out as you please.

Will vegetarians and vegans be catered for?

Yes there will be both options. Please make your dietary requirements clear at the time of booking.

Are mobile phones allowed?

We ask that mobile phones are kept are on silent throughout the retreat with no access in workshops, yoga and the Sound Bath Experience.

Are the retreats for women only?

The Menopause retreat is for women only, men are welcome and encouraged to attend all other retreats.

Do I have to have experience of Yoga?

The yoga pilates fusion session is designed for all abilities.

How much yoga will there be?

Two 1 hour sessions over the two days. 

Will alcohol be available?

There will be an option to have a drink with dinner in the evening. 

Are yoga mats and other equipment provided?

All equipment is provided by New Beginnings Retreats but please feel free to bring your own yoga mat if preferred. 

Do you charge a single supplement no extra cost?

Prices are inclusive of your own bedroom. If you wish to share a bedroom there can be a discount of £40 per person based on two people sharing

What will my accommodation be like?

Rudding Park is a luxury hotel based in Harrogate. Your room will be located in the Ribston Wing. Rooms are traditional and retain the style of the hotel with luxury fabrics. Each room has individually selected artwork, seating for two and a desk. Also included are tea and coffee making facilities, a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. You will receive complimentary access to the swimming pool, sauna and gym. The media hub connects your devices and drives directly to the TV. Stream content from your TV stick, connect your laptop to optimise online tasks, stream music via Bluetooth or view your photos directly from your USB drive. The ensuite bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower and Molton Brown toiletries.

Are there leisure facilities?

There is a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and a gym. Please bring appropriate clothing if you wish to use these facilities. 

If I have an injury can I still attend?

Yes as long the yoga teacher is made aware of this before hand.
