The location: Almeria’s proximity to North Africa means that the area is semi-desert, dry and dramatic, with imposing mountains and dazzling sea and furthermore, its always sunny!
Exotic yet homely, this is one of the most unique retreat locations in Spain. Its striking natural swimming pool is an ‘eco-pool’ the water is continually filtered through reed and water-plant beds and is crystal clear.
It is perfectly located to be quiet and tranquil but with easy access to one of Spain’s largest National Parks, the Cabo de Gata. So you can explore beautiful sandy, secluded and unspoiled beaches or visit the amazing Pulpi Geode, the world’s largest natural crystal cave.
And the yoga... Start your yoga days with sun salutations, intelligent sequencing, strength building and inspirational themes – energising, dynamic and explorative. On offer is a deeper exploration of asana along with chance for discussion around the underpinning philosophy of yoga and how it spills off the mat into our daily lives. In the evening you can nourish the body gently with a calming and nourishing practice including pranayama, meditation and relaxation.
Both morning and evening sessions take place in the spacious yoga shala which overlooks the pool and garden, has a covered roof and is fully equipped for 20 people. There are options to explore yoga nidra and meditation in the outdoor spaces.
