About The Retreat
Join Jenny for a truly re-wilding, restorative long weekend retreat in the beautiful Lake District. Our Classic Lake District Yoga & paddleboarding retreat - we have now run over 12 retreats here in our higgeldy piggeldy cottage! Walk out and up onto the hill track behind, or hop across the road into the lake for a wild swim in Rydal Water, one of the smallest, loveliest lakes in the area. We will be staying in a rustic, 16th century cottage that was once home to some of the Romantic Poets and regularly hosted Wordsworth, De Quincy & More. Sit and enjoy your morning coffee in the beautiful gardens overlooking the lake and mountains, read by the fire, hike to Rydal Caves or Grasmere, relax in the sauna or hot tub or hop in the lake for a wild swim. Bedrooms are mostly en-suite, first come first serve. Three bedrooms share a family bathroom. Highlights include: ✨Daily vinyasa, yin & meditation ✨SUP yoga, wild swimming + paddle boarding ✨A magical gong bath ✨Accommodation in a historic house in the heart of the Lakes ✨Mountain walks and open fires ✨Delicious vegetarian meals, brunches, picnic lunches & refreshment

For anyone who wants to re-wild and relax. We welcome everyone of any ability - just come with an open heart and mind. To get the most out of our yoga retreats, we recommend taking part in at least 3/4 yoga classes before joining.
Where exactly is the retreat?
East of Lake, Coniston, LA21 8AA. The best way to reach the house is either by car or train. The nearest train station is Windermere. From London Euston the train takes 3.5 hours. (Top tip: if three or more of you are coming on the same train, you can get the ‘group saver’ discount which is a 1⁄3 off each!) The house is 25 minutes away from the station, jump in a taxi to us. If you are travelling by train email us hello@thewildtimes.co and we will try to put you in touch with other guests to share taxis / lifts.
Do I need to bring equipment?
For the watersports: Paddleboards, paddles and buoyancy aids are provided. Please bring your own wetsuit and water shoes. For the yoga: Yoga mats and blocks are provided. Please bring comfortable exercise clothes for the vinyasa classes and warm pyjamas, socks and a blanket or big scarf for the yin yoga nidra!
Do I need paddleboarding experience?
Not at all! Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just finding your sea/yogi legs you are very welcome. We just ask that you can swim 50 metres.
