Autumn is a transition period from Summer - the season of 'Doing' to Autumn which is now the season of 'Being'. As the seasons externally to us change and adjust, means that we must too. When we live in accordance with nature's natural rhythms, we experience health and longevity physically, spiritually and emotionally. However if unbalanced, the qualities of Autumn can manifest as:

🍂 Cold
🍂 Dry
🍂 Rough
🍂 Erratic
🍂 Exposed and bare
🍂 A feeling of emptiness

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN YOUR DAY RETREAT/AFTERNOON?

☕ Enjoy an organic cinnamon latte or cinnamon herbal tea on arrival. Cinnamon warms the blood circulation and is a warming spice perfect for Autumn that promotes equilibrium (vital in a season of transition and often uncertainty for many!)

🧘 Enjoy the 60 minute Autumnal Bliss Yang to Yin yoga practice. Transitioning from Doing (Summer) to Being (Autumn), your yoga practice will be focusing on supporting the lungs and large intestines which are the main organs needed to be cared for in this season. 

🌲 During the second part of the afternoon, we will be going for a grounding, fresh Autumnal Woodland walk around Hatfield House. It is important to optimise light exposure during this season especially as shorter and darker days may begin to emerge. 

💤 To close the afternoon, you will experience a 30 minute 'Transitioning to Autumn Yoga Nidra' practice. Known as 'Yoga of Sleep', this 30 minute practice will be a gentle and guided process where you will be lying down comfortably. Through breath awareness, body scans and visualisation to name a few things, you will be guided to draw your awareness inwardly and fall in to a deep state of blissful awareness before you leave the event.

🌿 Throughout the afternoon, you will have access to the Wellbeing Table. Think of fresh organic herbal teas, herbal tinctures as well as herbal remedies to support your body leading up to the colder Autumn and Winter months. During your break, you will enjoy a fresh elderberry tonic (full of vitamin c to support your immune system) as well as other healthy snacks.

Winter Rural Yoga Day Retreat

Autumn Rural Yoga Day Retreat

Designed to help you reflect on 2024 and enter the New Year with ease and a sense of direction. According to Ayurvedic medicine, the Winter season embodies a 'hibernation' mode. As nature is laid bare, Winter calls as a perfect space to rest, reflect and to create an inspired vision for our New Years. As the days are comprised of coldness and darkness, our bodies intuitively know to slow down. However, your physical body may experience feelings of:

❄️ Depletion ❄️ Stagnancy ❄️ Feeling uninspired ❄️ Feeling weighed down

As the seasons externally to us change and adjust, means that we must too. When we live in accordance with nature's natural rhythms, we experience health and longevity physically, spiritually and emotionally.

☕ You will be welcomed with an organic mulled wine (alcohol free). Inspired by Ayurvedic medicine, your wine will be rich in fresh cinnamon, cloves and honey which naturally warm the blood circulation and are essential for the Winter season.

🧘 Enjoy the 90 minute Rest to Reflect movement practice.
~ 15 minutes of Ayurvedic Abhyanga (self massage techniques with a herbal oil)
~ Yoga movement specifically focusing on supporting the kidneys and bladder which are the main organs needed to be cared for in this season. The first half of your yoga practice will be a gentle Hatha flow to shake off any sluginess and the second half will incorporate Yin Yoga; focusing on slow and restorative stretches in the body.
~ A long and restful savasana including aromatherapy with a temple and shoulder massage.

🌲 Enjoy a grounding Winter Woodland walk around Hatfield House. It is important to optimise light exposure during this season especially as shorter and darker days are present.

💤 RE:VIBE Sound will close off your retreat day with a healing sound bath and journalling experience. Utilising beautiful crystal bowls, you will be guided into an Alpha/Theta brain wave state allowing the body to take over. Enjoy journal prompts reflecting on 2024 and creating a plan for 2025 leaving you with a sense of direction for 2025.

🌿 You will also have access to the Wellbeing Table full of fresh organic herbal teas, herbal tinctures as well as herbal remedies to support your body in the Winter season. During your break, you will enjoy a healthy, homemade gingerbread man, healthy snacks and warming drinks.
